1. The original tile design is first sketched and carved in wet clay using wooden and wire tools.A plaster mold is made of the tile.
2. Clay slabs are rolled on a slab roller and are then cut and pressed into the plaster mold by hand.
3. Each tile is individually glazed with 2-3 coats of each color. They are then fired to 2200° F.
4. Most tiles will also be glazed and fired a third time to achieve the colors that come in low fire glazes
